100 Days of Harry

'Allo! If anyone's downloaded the new "100 Days of Harry" active wallpaper, you'll see that there's a section on the information module titled "Fact of the Day." Yesterday's said that "fifth year students are allowed to be in the corridors until 9:00 PM." I don't remember that in the books, and looking on the Lexicon and they have no mention of a specific time at which curfew starts.

My question essentially is, does anyone know if these facts are actually JKR stated canon? I mean, how cool would it be if they were little bits of her notes that hadn't gotten a chance to be put into the books, but are now being used for this? I'm just skeptical about taking anything that doesn't come straight from The Goddess ::choir-of-angels-chord:: at face value, you know what I mean? Is there anything in canon that would counter this curfew time?

Today's is "Flagrate! will close a door and mark it with a fiery X" (wow...that's...specific.) The Lexicon says "Creates a burning, fiery line in the air which can be "drawn" with the wand into specific shapes. Hermione used this spell to draw fiery X marks on the doors of the circular hall in the Department of Mysteries (OP34)."

What do you all think? New bits of canon or not?
