A few questions
I'm currently writing the continuation of a chaptered fic and I need some information that I'm not quite sure how to Google. And I don't have the books at hand.
- How long takes the Hogwarts Express to go from London to Hogsmeade? Is it an all-day trip or does it just take 3 or 4 hours?
- Is there any mention in the books of when Binns died? Do we know if his lessons mention events posterior to his death?
- Does the "sound-dampening charm" have a name in canon ? (you know the one : they are often used in fanon to cover nocturnal solitary activities from neighbouring beds)
- I know the NEWTs are at the end of Year 7, just before leaving Hogwarts. But In which year do students take their OWLS? Year 4 or year 5? And are students submitted to some sort of examinations at the end of each year, or just for those two particular years?
And if you have the link for another community where such questions would be welcome, I'd be grateful.
