You ask: What is Ev2? Here's my answer.
Hello again, this is me. If you haven't seen on the bboards I have asked that you visit my website. Well, we've moved and it's been revamped. Earth Version 2 has a whole new look. Now.. people are going to ask what exactly is Earth Version 2, or lovingly called Ev2. Well, in this entry I will explain the wonderful world of Ev2.
The beginnings of Ev2 originated within the mind of my ingenius cousin, Steven Mayes, during his high school years. Basically, it was a the future of our world in some unspecified date. The genre of writing is of course cyberpunk. It is much akin to William Gibson's genre of writing, for those of you infamiliar with the term 'cyberpunk'. Generally, we've only began to touch the potential of this idea. We've only been able to come up with a stable history of things in the Columbus, OH region, but we're working expanding. Right now, we have the following places in our world: Cleaveland named: The Lakeshore. Columbus: Neo-C Neo standing for 'new'. And, Crystal City. For the Lancaster, Logan, and Carroll area. The names can be better explained at the encyclopedic entry at www.earthversion2.com. As a rule of thumb there are no real 'world governments' but in actuality the coporate machines are the real leaders in this world.
Cities owned by various companies are the norm, and people live under the rule of these companies. So, basically each city is it's own country with each company within it's states. There are very few cities in which there is only one company the ruling company for that would be a lot of ground to cover for a single company. There are of course many subfactions of places, and things are already being written.
Also, on a note if you'd like your home town/country/whatever intergrated into our world, it'd be great to do so, but I'd like to make a request! Please, either post something on here, or e-mail some sort of history of that place. History, Geography, Companies in that area (major ones), or just add things you'd like to see evolve into something in our world. We really do enjoy attention and such.
Just on another side note: We update our stuff every Saturday at midnight with encyclopedic entries, and either short stories, or parts of current stories.
