First of all, I need to say the following: Twits tweet on Twitter.
Mind you, I think Twitter is perfectly wonderful. However, the thought was in my head, and it amused me.
I just had an occasion to mail a check to someone. At first, I was just going to toss the check in to envelope and send it on its way. Then I decided that such an impersonal way of sending a check was an abomination. So I searched for letter paper. Would you believe I don't have any? My goodness. In this day and... I know. "Who writes letters any more?" That's the point. The envelope needed a letter. So I did the next thing that came to mind: I used origami paper. That of course lead to an origami letter, which lead paper choice, which lead to multiple drafts to make sure the letter would fit, which lead to... After all, any thing worth doing is worth doing with a touch of panache.
It was quite fun. If you haven't written a a letter by hand in recent times, I highly recommend it. Bonus points for a letter that expresses your distinct style.
