I still love you guys (and my few other friends who are UM alumni). I just don't like the school anymore.
ONE guy on the FIU started the fight because he just couldn't take the taunting anymore and he can't help that he is a 19-year-old with imbalanced hormones and enduring an adrenaline high (Adrenaline is the body's naturally-produced form of Cocaine, as its effects are very simmilar). Yes, he was wrong. But he's just a kid, and I know how he feels. I've been taunted on my inferiorities my whole life and sometimes I just blow up and get really REALLY violent. It happens. What he did was wrong, but it wasn't the whole team who did it: it was just him. But rather than letting these two kids duke it out (because he wasn't going to die from getting hit while wearing football padding), the whole Hurricanes bench had to get thuggish!
UM IS very haughty... not unlike Carrollton or Ransom or Gulliver, as these schools are populated by the children of those few who could afford to pay for such an education. I don't doubt that such arrogance made itself known in the tunnels of the Orange Bowl, stirring the anger of those players with weaker tolerances for injustice.
