The thing you need to know about Robin McKinley's Pegasus is: it's not a standalone novel. It is part 1 of 2. Part 2 is forthcoming. If you know this going in, you may be able to tolerate the ending, or rather the stopping point. If you don't, trauma and/or rage may ensue.
