It keeps me off the streets

Now watching Tales of Vesperia on YouTube. The last time I did likewise with a game it was FFXII. THIS CANNOT END WELL

Spent last night downloading a million Chie and Yukiko fanarts from pixiv. Okay it was more like dozens, but. Could not help noticing prevalence of Chie raep images. Images in which Chie is getting raeped by people other than Yukiko, that is. I suppose since Chie is a tomboy it is more satisfying (...) to subjugate her via suddenly penetrative fanart than it is Yukiko, who already seems to obediently subscribe to social norms of femininity (although one of the many things I love about Yukiko is that she subverts even as she performs Traditional Modest Good Girl, esp. via laughter, no srsly, remember it is not ladylike to guffaw like that. Her laughter is powerful! expressive! emasculating! lololol).

Let's not talk about the DSRK ones where Nagi was getting served by a flotilla of Onmoraki or tentacled by a grove of Jubokko. Idk though those scenes might've been consensual. Oh Nagi you naughty girl you.

Srsly though, by-m-for-m ero J-fanart cracks me up, because there are always these disembodied penises randomly sticking out of nowhere. Like, at the bottom or the side of the frame. I suppose the idea is it's a self-insert--literally! *rimshot*--in which you-the-male-viewer imagine yourself banging the character, so portraying any more of the male body would interrupt that fantasy (or something?), but it has such a deep quality of WTF that I am using my emasculating power of laughter to lol at it. LOLOLOL SUDDENLY PENISES. Also somehow I tend to imagine Raidou leaping in with his sword to cut them down, since we all know how Raidou behaves when penises attack.

Uhh in linkage news:

Beru pointed to paradox_dragon's post on queer women, slash, and internalized oppression & comments. I appreciated lavendertook's comments on the "it's not about you" argument in particular.
