Last saturday we went to Jeroen's uncles. I always like going there, we have a great time with them, and yesterday was no exception either. It was a very pleasant evening accompanied by AWESOME food. Maaan, can they cook! I keep pushing his aunt to join the TV program "Wie is de chef" ;)
Only problem was that the alcohol went to my head, and by the time I stepped outside and had to get into the car, well, the combination didn't work out for me. Jeroen's dad had to stop the car like three times for me, and I ended up puking in some baggies more than once. I was afraid I had made a mess in their car but I spoke to his dad earlier and he said that there was no mess and I shouldn't worry. They were more concerned about how I'd be feeling today! Sweeties...
So yeah, I was feeling like crap when I came home, threw my clothes straight into the washing machine, somehow managed to brush my teeth and take off my contacts, and I flopped into bed. It was lights-out ten seconds later I think... I can't even remember Jeroen getting into bed LOL.
Amazingly enough, the hangover was minimal and I could hold my food just fine. Mom reckons that since I had been feeling a bit under the weather the whole week that the alcohol kicked me harder than normal That and we did have some sweet liquors at the end of the evening, anything sweet hits me twice as hard. So yeah, pretty embarrassing that my inlaws had to see me like that. (Then again it's the first time in 8 years so I hope they won't think too bad of me ;) )
Needless to say, today we took it really easy. Had some awesome broodjes-gezond for lunch, took a shower, worked on my puzzle for a bit, and took a loooong nap with Poes. I love sleeping with that cat, once he settles down I can snuggle right next to him and he keeps me warm like a furry hot water bottle heheh. For dinner we had a microwave meal (rice and chicken teriyaki, mmmm) and I spent the evening watching TV. So yeah, it was a super lazy day. Glad I could recover some energies to start the new week tomorrow...
