The animal is a Virginia Opossum. They are known to play dead.
It is holding a poppy stalk with flower and bulb. Ofcourse you know that heroin is derived from the bulb of the poppy.
There is a window which is hard to see because I haven't gone into the shades of the reflection of the possum and my doppelganger. The pane goes through the smoke at the top, down the middle and off to the left corner.

Sorry, this means you have to live in the most obnoxious city in the world. Yeah I've been to Hollywood and Los Angeles, Vegas is markedly worse.
