(no subject)
so basically, anyone i have tried to talk to knows, I am bored bored bored. We were to be in the commons at 6 PM today, def by 8 so that they could take role, do a head count, all that good stuff. So we got there 7ish after putting our stuff down here by 6. At 8 they were like, well...the hurricane is slowing down, so you don't have be here for check in until 9 at the earliest, and we will let you know then what time you have to be here. Now the curfew is midnight, and the storm may not even hit us. I don't see how it won't considering that it is the size of like, 3 normal sized states, but it may not. Either way, i mena, we all secured our rooms by 7, so there is nothing availible to do in them. so i am bored, since we have been here for so long already (nearing 5 hours since i locked my room up at 6) and will be here all night. But it looks like people might be sleeping later, which is unexpected. Who knows. We have tons of snacks and stuff, so that's not a problem. They may let us disburse tomorrow morning, it all depends on the progression of the storm and the damage and stuff. It all just feels so pointless right now. Like, if the storm isn't going to hit, it feels like we did all this prep and stessing and evacuating or attempting to, for nothing, but i know that it is not the case, since it was scary for a time and we appeared to be in real danger for a day. So basically, i am so confident that we will be fine here, that I wish something would happen in houston, if only to make the effort I put into securing my room worthwhile.
