Cosplay Ideas for 14 Year Old Boy

The word cosplay is made up of the words costume and play mashed together. You dress up as characters, often manga, sci-fi or fantasy characters, and get together with other people, mainly at conventions. People sometimes act like their characters, and it can involve LARP (live action role play - watch Role Models for an explanation of that), although you can have cosplay without the actual 'play' part - just the costumes. I hope that makes sense, I'm a terrible explainer!!!

I don't know who the first one is, but Link would be cool. There's an awesome website with swords, but you said cheaper, so that might not be the best option.

L from Death Note would be easy, white top, baggy pants and a wig. Or you could do your own hair if it works. They also have

Death Notes for sale for around $20 at those little Asian stores that sell random dolls, ornaments and lots of Mario stuff.

So you could dress up as Light, in relatively normal clothes. Personally, I'd love to dress up as Misa and hold a Death Note, but you are a guy...

With all those character hat/beanie things around lately, it wouldn't be hard to dress up as a Pikachu or something either. A friend of mine also dressed up as Pikachu by using the typical ghost formula - yellow sheet, eye holes, and red cheek circles, cute drawn mouth, holes with hairsprayed hair poking through, taped on tail.

Tuxedo Mask from Sailor Moon would be easy too. All you need is a tux and a mask, and a rose. Oh, and a top hat,and a cape.
