So I've put a new layout up... I actually had a dark purple one up, but it didn't show me the amount of comments on other peoples posts. And I could barely read the font and the font color, so here I am with yet another layout

Have you ever tried to talk to them? If I remember correctly (which I probably don't since it's been -years-) it was always your mom that was putting down the rules. I don't ever remember your dad home much, at least when we were kids.. I dunno about during high school.
I dunno.. my mom does the same to me, but more in the sense that she knows I'm 19 and can't make me do anything but I still live under her roof so she's gonna try. And I know you're not into the whole 'be rude' thing to your parents, so I really can't tell you to tell your mom to stfu. I'm kind of lost as to what you could do.
I wish you luck into getting into GVSU.. it sounds like you really do need to get away from your parents, and you know.. we all do at some point. That's why in 6 weeks I'm moving to Oregon. :)

wow, that totally sums it up, really - except its more both of my parents versus just my mom.
Oregon? wow! are you living out there with your boyfriend or are you getting a seperate apartment?
And I don't know.. I've kind of talked to them, but it hasn't been like a lets sit down for three hours sort of thing, it'd be basically when I wanted something we'd have a bitch fest about being only 18. I don't know.

His parents live out there and we all know how much we love Michigan, so, I'm outta there!
I'm always having a bitch fest with my mom, she's always telling me how much she hates me and how she can't wait til I get out.. She doesn't know I'm engaged and she doesn't know I'm moving.. I've hid it from her for months now and I probably won't even tell her.
I really hope that you can get stuff working out with your mom and dad before it gets as bad as how me and my mom are. 'Cause it totally sucks.

And i just tried talking to them about it, and mom started getting bitchy, and my dad was the voice of reason. I still don't think anything got straightened out though.

Why did your mom get bitchy about it? I mean, that's retarded that you still have a bed time.. you're an adult, I don't care if you live in her house, she can't tell you when you can and can't sleep. :(
I mean geez.. I usually go to bed at 5am and am up by 2pm hah
