Look out!
I feel horrible about what is about to hit New Orleans and Mississippi. My prayers are with everyone during the next week. I just got my power back today. Howie, me, and Sensi stayed with my family for the past five days. It was nice seeing Sensi socialize with my two dogs. It shows that, with a little help, he can get along with a new puppy if we decide to get one. Howie's mom and step dad brought us lunch from Bagel Bar this afternoon, when we got back. It really sucked throwing out all of the perfectly good food that I had just bought. I didn't think about saving it all, and my mom's fridge was full anyway. I just went shopping today, and only bought what I'd eat for lunch and dinner for the next two weeks...just in case.
I am going back to school tomorrow! Yippee! My classes start for my gifted and reading endorsements, too, so I'm really happy. I hated not having school on Thursday and Friday. It's so crazy because in high school, hurricane days were so much fun! Howie is going back for his third round of chemo on Wednesday. The pathology from his tumor removal only showed 60% necrosis, when they really hoped for 90-95%. They are changing up the chemo cocktail he uses, which means no more leg catheter! We are counting down the sessions until we can really plan our wedding and home purchase.
I am going to Orlando on Friday afternoon, straight after school. I will probably be there before dinner time, but I'm still not sure where I'm staying...any offers? lol, just kidding...
Just a thought...what's going to happen with all those snakes and alligators during the hurricane? I think Mississippi is in for more than just water and wind damage...watch out for lots of poisonous snake bites and such...
