Yesterday, I tried out the dough hook attachment on my trusty Kitchenaid mixer, and discovered that it's incredibly easy to bake my own bread. Lemon meringue pie has been duly accomplished, although it took rather longer than anticipated. The dishes, of course, are still unwashed, and will no doubt come back to haunt me in the morning. And by morning I mean 1 p.m., if my recent sleep schedule is anything to go by.

My Kitchenaid stand mixer (graduation present from my parents) just arrived. You know what this means, right? Lemon meringue pie! Thank goodness the heat wave seems to be over... I wouldn't have wanted to turn on the oven yesterday.
