I think Howie is supporting Missy over here :) I kind of have mixed feelings about Missy - there are elements that I like and other things that grate with me. But yeah, she's a hell of a lot better than Delta Goodrem :P Never listened to Howie much, but I do like the novelty value of him being a recovering boy-bander

Silly me, forgot I hadn't answered this. I just don't think she's developed fully as a song writer - sometimes she comes out with these gorgeous lines/melodies and then something that sounds trite/predictable to me the second minute, which means that most of her songs are kind of up and down for me. And it bugs me that she exaggerates her Aussie accent so much when she sings. But I don't hate her or anything, so.. no toes ;)

Ahhhh, I gotcha. Yeah, I agree with the gorgeous/ordinary-ness of her music. But a lot of artists I like have songs that I find either amazing or mediocre. And I actually adore her exaggerated accent. But then again, I'm not Australian. So I can see why it might annoy you.

P.S. I remember when I saw "Howie Day - Slide" come up on WinMX or whatever program I used to search for rare HD stuff way back when . . . I flailed. And declared him the greatest thing ever. *dork*

I was actually hoping for the concert to be a little more...low-key. You know, just Howie and all his pedals. But having the whole band there was fun, too. :)

I sometimes wonder if you and I are long lost twins. Because...ditto with the flailing.
