And this story? Damn you, dude. I saw Eric's name and I remembered your comment in Alex's LJ about maybe trying not to torture him sometime, and I thought this was it! You're like...Lucy, with the ball, and I'm constantly trying to kick it, like a dumbass, and falling on my face ^_~
Stylistically, this was a tough read (at least it was at 7:30 in the morning) but I like how it works with Chavvy's state of mind. Both terribly disjointed and yet singularly focused in a weirdly neat T.S. Eliot Waste Land kind of way.
I especially liked:

i know, man, i know. happy eric chavez--it WILL happen. although, it'll probably be him, like, happy with his wife, which is nice and all, but not really so typical.
