no energy to ramble about this series. i miss first place. gotta beat the twins with a stick.
huddy's coming back on saturday (theo-fucking-retically). fraptious day. took him long enough, jeez! that was supposed to be FIFTEEN DAYS, timothy, you very bald man.
also, in honor of mulder turning the big two-seven today:
happy birthday to you
you live in a zoo
you smell like a monkey
and you look like one too
what do you get the man who's got 15 wins and some of the best run support in the league? apparently, a bunch of techno cds. what a dork.

fucking argh. this week has been lame. falling right back into shit again, and this always happens, no matter how long i stay clean, and i'd been clean this time for longer than i'd been since i was fifteen fucking years old.
torn down, fucked up, seven days gone by on about three nights' worth of sleep, and yesterday i showed a bunch of the peeps i work with this thing i'd written and they were floored and when one of them asked me if i was a writer, i just kinda smiled and shrugged and said, 'used to be.'
yeah yeah yeah.
apparently i'm neglecting my god-given talent. apparently it's a fucking crying shame.
fuck it.

saturday, the cubs roll into town and a certain maddog be trying for his 300th and nomah in a cubs uniform is a sight to see, and yeah, i gots me tickets. it's win-win, if the giants lose, i get to see history being made (unless he gets a ND, which would piss me off mightily), and if chicago falls, hey, bring home a victory for my boys.
my dad keeps saying that maddux'll be the last pitcher ever to reach 300, on accounta how the game's changed (the rotation used to be once every four days, there were not so much relievers, pitching was dominant until fucking gibson had to go and be all ridiculous and force them to lower the mound, players played for more years cos they didn't make as much money, the strike zone was bigger, etc etc).
dude, as long as the game continues to be played, someone, somewhere, sometime, will get 300 again. i guarantee it, just like i guarantee that every other record will eventually be broken (except dimaggio's 56 games. stephen jay gould figured that out that the odds of hitting in that many games are statistically impossible. ultimate badass, joe d.).

man, being a fuck up is hard.
