677 raining in a rainforest

day 2 onwards!

Rainforest trek! Very troublesome to get there because it's a ferry ride, then a van ride, then another longboat ride. But worth it!!

Starting our trek! Pic on the right is one of the bridges that was closed for maintenance so we couldn't explore! Or maybe it was just another alternate route to get to the same destination...

View from the top of the treetop walk!

Thank you shauny for climbing up the walk with me even though you're afraid of heights! And muacks for keeping my camera in your pocket cos i was wearing leggings!

The next bit i regret not bringing my camera along with me but anyway, our guide brought us to a waterfall and it was really interesting because the fish in that waterfall is the kind you get at kenko fish spa. THEY EAT YOUR DEAD SKIN! Not recommended to submerge into the water because this means skin from your face and body get nibbled on too hahaha we were happy to just sit at this fallen tree trunk to have our feet exfoliated. And then about an hour or so later, it started to rain heavily! It was really pretty but argh left my camera in my bag along the river bank! Anyway instead of taking the longboat back, shauny and i opted to take the raft back (or more like i wanted and he had no choice but to do it with me). Wasn't all that fun though cos the rapids weren't very rapid and already hella tired from all that climbing in the morning. But we made it! And had a very nice meal back at the resort place where you can actually camp overnight (in bunks or in tents) and do other adventure activities. When we were there they were in the midst of constructing a zipline or some swing thing you can swing into the middle of the river.

Next day was staycation day at THE EMPIRE. It's hella chio!! We dropped by some chinese restaurant first to pick up some sio bak and char siew and roast duck for our staycation hehe.

At our chio balcony overlooking the pool area

Honestly not much to do (if you don't wanna spend more money) so we lazed away our afternoon in the pool.

Post-swim was watching book of life at the nearby cinema that you can get a buggy to drive you to, and then dinner at a japanese teppanyaki restaurant in the hotel. And the hotel at night looks so damn grand but also looks like the kind of venue for the next night at the museum movie or something.

And the last day we spent at one of the museums looking at all the presents other countries have given brunei, and then heading to the night market for our dinner! Bought lotsa goodies back like weird fruits and grilled fish etc etc.

Now waiting for 2016 so i can visit my aunt in moscow!!
