Translation: POTATO August 2012 JUMP CON REV ( context + MC questions at the end! )
Hello! Having a national holiday now so I decided to come back and translate some stuff! *clapclapclap*
This is the JUMP concert review segment near the back of POTATO,
so I'll be translating the context segment and the MC portion~ ♪
enjoy~!! ^^
Context Segment
*note: its actually split up into tiny text boxes so I'll just translate in a clockwise direction. And since this is just the little captions under each picture I kinda adjusted the vocab/grammer so that it sounds a bit better, but generally the meaning of the text is the same :3
On 2012. 05. 27, Hey! Say! JUMP had their first concert in the Star Hall in Hong Kong! This is the first time JUMP has gone overseas, and here is the report of how JUMP brought up the spirits of all the fans in the concert halls and the many things that happened.
1)And to start the show, the 9 members appeared dressed in white
2) Seeing the members dressed in the colourful costumes for "Magic Power", we could all hear the Hong Kong fans going "how cute~"
3) Using different types of drums throughout the concert, Yuto is the main member that brings out the passion in the JUMP band
4) In the start, JUMP came on stage in bright blue costumes and a introduction dance, using Cantonese to greet all the fans out there in the concert hall!
( Being completely immersed in the atmosphere of the concert, the 9 members were totally in the mood already! )
5) By only practicing for just 2 months, Yamada played the saxophone impressively for everyone with no weakness.
6) Following the medley used in "SUMMARY", the members started flying (with Yamada as a starter) and made the tension of all the fans increase!
7) Now with Yamada as a the addition to the JUMP BAND, the experience was enhanced with his sax-playing skills!
8) Soon after the concert had started, Yamada led the whole of JUMP flying around the concert hall. From this angle its as if they are angels flying in the sky, don't they look like angels? (The fans went wild over the flying scenes as JUMP got closer~ and the tension was increased)
9) 7 using chairs and fans for a very cute group segment
10) BEST holding on to hand bouquets for the audience in their segment song~
11) At the last part, JUMP came onstage wearing sakura-themed costumes for the encore!

Q.During the MC you said " In Hong Kong our tension became so high! ", whats the cause of it?
(tiny convo text: We are~ YabuHika~!!) (T/N: yeah it actually said that hurhur)
Hikaru: Everyone that came to watch our Summer concerts saw us getting so high because of the tension in the air! But although we were very hyper we did our best to perform properly, while we were singing you could hear us making exclamations of "O!"
Q. When we asked Yuto what was his ideal type of girl, he answered with "one thats like Yama-chan", why him? What type of girl do you like ?!
(tiny convo text: Yuto: One that's like Yama-chan~ Yamada: haaaai~ *sigh*)
Yuto: One that's very gentle~ If Yama-chan was a girl I'd definitely find her cute (laughs) (T/N: what is this Yamajima?! *asdf*) But really, the type of girl that I like would be one full of energy but with a mature aura, I have to share the same values (T/N: viewpoint/ opinion/ value (?) I'm not too sure)
Q. Keito was up in the air playing his guitar, but then how did you find it? Were you scared ?
Keito: I was actually really excited because I like high places a lot~ (T/N: omg and I have acrophobia like Yamada nooo) But it was unexpected that I could still play the guitar while flying. But then afterall~ the fondest memory of the Hong Kong concerts was when I hugged Takaki onstage (laughs)
Q. Onstage you uneasily asked "could you understand our Cantonese?" But actually how was it?
Yabu: I believed .... that they could understand (laughs) But then we managed to get responses from the fans so that was good. Actually even though we practiced for so long before the concert it was still hard, so I actually wrote it down on my hand during the rehearsals... (laughs) I thought about writing it on my hand for the actual concert, but I decided to wash it off and remember it for all the fans.
Q. When asking the audience questions, how were their reactions? Was everyone filled with passion?
Inoo: Yes! When I walked around the seats, the children were calling out to me in Japanese, saying "Inoo~" "Kei-chan~". They tried their best and used Japanese with all their might when we spoke to them, so I was really very happy about it.
Q. When you guys were flying, you were dancing with fighting moves ? How did you feel then?
Takaki: Usually when we are flying, we'd think "Oh how do we dance in order to make it look the nicest?" But then eventually our tensions got really high, and we ended up doing a lot better than we had expected with really cool movements (laughs)
Q. You already started by "chuu-ing" at the fans~ you really did a lot for the fans (T/N: it can also be termed more on the casual 'fanservice' side) did you realise that ?
(tiny convo text: Yamada: The fans here are really the best ♥)
Chinen: Well I do the same thing in Japan too (laughs) Even though the atmosphere was really similar to the ones in Japan, in Hong Kong the proximity was really close! I could really see every single one of the fans and I was really touched.
Q. You said that your favourite type of girl was "like a xiao long bao" (?) Please explain~
Daiki: Well... the girl has to be as pure on the inside and on the outside, a warm and kind girl (laughs) (T/N: technically in replacement of "kind" I couldn't figure it out so I went and referred to a Chinese translation... it said "juicy" ... I half-think its a pun LOL but typing "a warm and juicy girl" made me kindaaaa apprehensive, I mean like whats ?!) But then its definite that I can never forget the experience of performing abroad.
Q. About the Cantonese during the MC in general!
Yamada: Could all you guys understand my Cantonese at all?? During [ Boku wa Vampire ], I said the lines “かみついちゃうぞ” in Cantonese! But then looking at the reaction I think I didn't actually manage to get the line across after all, I was so nervous! (laughs) But still it was really a amazing experience to perform overseas.
