Break in the Weather

Feb 28, 2010 13:56

I know there was a time when there were other people I use to see. It has only been a few weeks, but I feel as though I haven't seen them in ages. I could count the days I haven't seen Crush in the past 3 weeks on one hand. That is going to change next week and it is going to be strange.

I am hoping that a job I went for on Friday goes well and I will have a steady stream of cashflow again. The break has been lovely, but I miss the freedom of having spare cash to do more things.

I desperately need to do a wardrobe overhaul. Thanks to my new improved body weight, a lot of the stuff I have is made for hiding my dreadful figure. I can now get some more flattering pieces. Sadly, I still have a the endangered female figure known as the hourglass. Most shops do not cater for this and the ones that do are quite expensive. This is why I have had to hold off on this excursion for so long. The female body shape these days has changed to an androgynous type, so that is all they cater for. Top that off with being short and clothes shopping for me is a guaranteed nightmare.

March brings some interesting events. Lots of movies to see including a Tim Burton movie, which is always a winner in my book. Having to book some things well in advance has given me the ability to see three shows as well. I am going to see the musical production of Cats. I have seen it before, but it was about 15 or so years ago. There is the lovely fun night of the Melbourne International Comedy Gala. I also finally get to see Imogen Heap in concert. I am going to these events with a variety of different friends, so it will be a good month to get back in touch with people I feel I have neglected of late.

Perhaps this is the beginning of a lovely new chapter in my life.
