Final Thoughts on HF0 Finale

May 14, 2012 23:27

Now I know it's has been a while since I have posted a review and I decided that tonight I would.  However, I have decided that I won't because there was too much that happened and I can't describe it all.  Let's just say August or September, whenever the show premeires, can not get here soon enough.  It's just...ahh.  To much.  Right now I could use some filler fanfiction to help during the summer break.  Adios

FYI- Bromance was on point.  Loved it.

Edited

So I changed my mind.  After a few days of processing the finale I have realized what I did and didn't like about the final episode of the season.  Just random things that jumped out at me while I was preparing for bed or brusing my teeth or eating lunch.  I know late but it's better than never right.  Okay so here we go.

Favorite

-Chin shirtless.  I could have done without the bandages around his chest but whatever, his shirt was off and that's all that really mattered.  Also, Malia rushing to see Chin after she heard that he was hurt.  I thought that was really sweet

-The McDannoness.  I love that we were given one last car conversation.  It seemed as though this season there was a lack of carguments and it was nice that the finale gave us viewers one.  Also, who else loved that our boys can read each other and neither one of them has to say a word.  That's when you know you have a great relationship, when you can have entire conversations just by looking in each other's eyes and reading their faces.  Love

-Danny fighting for Grace.  Just when I think that I could actually like Rachel the writers make her do something like this.  I think it's great that Danny is going to fight for his daughter and refuse to let Rachel take her off the island.  And seriously, Las Vegas.  When he said that Rachel was moving there I immedietely thought of Ocean's 11.  Nice plug writers.  Let's not forget the part at the end with Grace and Danny together.  Really pulled at my heartstrings and made me really wish I had a dad like that.

-Kamekona coming to see Max.  They're like two people you would never expect to be friends but somehow they are and they make it work.

-Max not dying.  I'm telling you that if Max died I would have been pissed.  That can not happen to quirky M.E.

Things that made me go hmmm

-How did Steve get to Japan so fast?  It seemed he got there rather quickly and I don't know much about flying but that seemed to fast.  And why did the writers have to go all cliche on us.  His mom is still alive and was hiding this entire time in Japan.  Lame.  I'm still holding out that his mom had a twin sister who worked for the CIA and it was a case of mistaken identity.  That way Steve wouldn't become more screwed up than he already is and we would't have to worry about him having mommy issues.  Daddy issues are enough.

-Why the hell didn't the police seal off the entire crime.  Shouldn't that whole area where Fryer was found been searched before Five-0 even got there. How the hell did they not notice the blood drops on the ground but Max did.  Shotty police work if you ask me.   And why exactly was Five-0 called.  Couldn't HPD have handled the case on their own, I mean it was their Chief that was murdered.

-Why wasn't there more Danny.  I love him, he's my favorite and yet once again I felt as though I didn't have enough of him in the finale.  Also, there should have been more empathy for him at the fact that his daughter might be ripped away.  I would expect a litte more than "That sucks" from Kono and a head nod from Chin.  Now I know they were in the middle of an investigation but damn, something.

-Joe at an active crime scene.  Now I'm not a cop but I highly doubt that you can bring civillians to crime scenes and let them touch the body.  Joe's not even apart of Five-0 and yet he's allowed to be there and ride in the ambulance with Max.

-Chin having the power to get Frank out of jail.  I realize that the team may have limited full means and immunity but that seemed like it would take a lot of power to pull Frank out of jail.  Plus Chin is like a tech wizard.  Was there no way he could have contacted anyone without being caught.  It would seem as though he could have pulled it off.

-Kono, an avid swimmer and ex surfer, being pushed into the water with her hands tied in front of her and nothing to really hold her down under the water.  Yeah, I don't see her dying from that.

-How the hell was Delako, Delano (can't really remember his name) able to fake the deaths of the criminals when there was a high speed chase at the time the car flipped over and blew up.  The only thing I can think of was they were never really driving the car, two other people were forced to drive away and they were the ones that died but that seemed a little far fetched to me.

-And please tell me, how do you go from robbing liquior stores to becoming a mastermind criminal because she was really good at killing people and invading the police.  And why exactly was her partner taking pictures of the entire team.

There you have it folks, my thoughts on the finale.  I don't know if anyone agrees with my statements but don't be afraid to tell me if you do or not.  I would love to hear your favorite parts or least favorite.
