Still Pregnant
Well, I'm still pregnant. We had an amnio on Friday, and the baby's lungs weren't quite ready so, they decided to give him another week. He's just over 7 pounds now, so we're probably looking at about 8 by the time I deliver. Hopefully not too big though. We had the amnio at about 8:30 am, and they said they would let us know by early afternoon. So we went to St. Vital and wandered around and had lunch and what not, but by 3 I was a nervous wreck. They finally called and told us to feel free to go home. We worked ourselves silly trying to get everything ready here, which we did and we went in prepared to stay. I'm just going to leave the diaper bag packed and everything ready to go since we'll have to go in prepared this week too. They said they would probably do another amnio this week and we'll go from there. At least I can be prepared for this one. It doesn't hurt, it's just a really weird feeling. I don't even know how to explain it. You don't hardly feel the needle until it enters your uterus, then it just feels strange. But, it went well and I was relieved that it wasn't painful. We have a Dr. appointment tomorrow so he can check things out since they didn't induce me. He's fairly sure it will be soon though. He already had my charts sent to the hospital. So, with any luck we'll be having a baby this coming weekend. Ryan comes back from Taiwan on Saturday. He's been through a typhoon, a tsunami, and most recently an earthquake. I think he'll be happy to get home. Anyway, we'll keep you all informed on how things go. Later all!!!
