*sigh* my babies, Domestic! and all Playful!Jeff/Annie are my favourite, I just love how natural it feels for them to fall into this routine and how well they fit, and that together they could just have fun, is one of my favourite things about their relationship ♥
I have a weakness for nice little moments like Annie making Jeff laugh or him watching her so at home at his kitchen (that's one of the fanfic staples that always makes my heart sing) or just generally being impressed and smitten by her, which all comes across clearly even though we see it from Annie's insecure POV. It's endearing and heart-breaking how she tries so hard not to read into things even though Jeff is throwing a War-and-Peace volumes at her to read into (he paid for her in the restaurant, that was a date *gg*) because she had been burned so painfully before. Yet she is willing to put her feelings aside and help her friend, she really is as wonderful as Jeff(and we all) sees her ♥

Also, hee, the things Jeff told Annie about his Mum, kinda remind of someone, doesn't it? Organised, likes to volunteer, crosswords. It's clear where the things Jeff is looking for in his ideal woman come from ;D

Jeff leans away from her to grab a basket, and mumbles something that Annie can't quite hear, but sounds suspiciously like: "Not with any of the women I've slept with."
Niice.

This fic is srsly rockin' :D

/Happy sigh. Thank you so much for your comments. The potential for writing those moments were what drew me to this prompt in the first place! I have a weakness for those moments as well. SO much fun to write my own.

I'm a little bit like Annie in some respects (over-analytical, a bit insecure, etc.) so I tried to put myself in her shoes. I'm glad her POV seems authentic.

Haha, yes, Marilyn was intended to remind you of someone... That was a bit of a reaction on my part to the whole "Jeff/Annie is creepy because Jeff is like Annie's dad" thing, which I hate. I could rant about it, but it'd be a long rant, so I won't. :P

Yeah, I guess one of the reasons I love J/A together is how normal they can be together, just the simplicity of them cooking together without shenanigans is possible, like you mentioned with Troy and Abed there would be food on the ceiling and I honestly can't picture Jeff and Britta cooking together, they'd probably start bickering, that is if Britta even can cook, hehe. (I can see her refusing to learn how just because women are supposed to do that in the eye of society, which is exactly how I justify my refusal to learn to cook ;D) And Jeff and Annie are an amazing team at everything ♥

I'm more like Jeff myself (even though I'm a girl, lol) but I really get Annie's character, what makes her tick, better than any other character on the show (and I do relate to her in some aspects, too, particularly I'm familiar with the situation of being the youngest person in a group of sophisticated grown-ups, how it makes you feel inadequate, and just generally the constant struggle of being dismissed just because of your age), so I appreciate when her POV is done justice :D

Please, feel free to rant, I love analysing Community to death ;D And Ugh, I just have a severe case of RAEG every time someone says J/A is creepy. Also, I think it's often said that women look for men that resemble qualities of their fathers and men look for women that remind them of their mothers, so if anything that makes Jeff and Annie PERFECT for each other (Yes, the thought HAVE crossed my mind before, because I think Jeff actually likes to be taken care of and I always assumed his mother was extra doting and loving because she wanted to make up for the lack of fatherly love so an ideal woman for Jeff would be a nurturer, like Annie is, he might not even realise it but he wants it) (I realise it's a bullshit amateur psychology but it's enough to render the argument of haters invalid ;D)

Um, yes, you took the rant out of my mouth. Our parents are models for how adults are "supposed" to be. It makes perfect sense that we'd grow looking for similar traits in a partner that we see in opposite-sex parents. Creepy schmeepy.

Whoops, how rude of me, didn't mean to steal your rant ;)

Our parents are models for how adults are "supposed" to be.
Or how adults aren't supposed to be, in case of BAD parents. We often see Jeff in fic being afraid to become like his Dad which is one of the reasons that's holding him back with her.

Btw, I see your fanclub forming, is the position of a head cheerleader still open? 'cause I'm quite qualified for the job, I've been one before (not IRL,lol, but for other writers ;D)

I love this community a lot myself and it always makes me glad to see new blood (especially one as prolific as you ♥) I've been here a long time and saw many people get disappointed/lose interest and disappear and that makes me sad 'cause I never want our comm to die out.

Took me a while to make the leap from lurking to posting, but I'm so glad I found this community. And I'm not going anywhere. :D

I know what you mean about lurking, I'm a serial lurker, I had been a member of this comm for almost a year before I started commenting, lol. Same with my previous DW fandom, it took me 11 month of lurking to finally register on LJ *gg*

And I'm not going anywhere. :D
Well, that's good to hear :D I was just recently lamenting to my friend the sad lack of new pieces of J/A fanfic long enough to dive into and lose yourself in (that requires at least 6000+ words to read at once and such amount is rarely posted) and that's where you come in, I LOVE your monster chapters, I've been saving the last two to read properly this weekend. :D

Yeah, one thing I've learned from this already is that I'm INCAPABLE of being concise. Lol. Hence, the monster chapters. When I had to split chapter 4, there was some cursing at LJ involved.

I'm also participating in the Community Big Bang, which really, I know nothing about other than it involves fics that are at least 15,000 words. At first I thought that might be a lot, but... then this one turned into 27,000 somehow. O_O

I'm really looking forward to writing some crazy long stuff for that, I have two prompts that I want to do, and in all likelihood, will end up doing both. Those won't be up until June, though, so there we definitely be more stuff from me in the meantime. :)

Well, I'm definitely not complaining, there can never be too much J/A fanfic ;)(and I'm personally not capable of being concise either, see how much I ramble? and English isn't even my first language so that's the restricted version of my rambling xD)
Haha, LJ is weird like that, I saw 11k fics fit into one post and yet I often see people have to split a 9k chapter. Maybe your words are longer than some ;D

Hee, well, seeing as your fist fanfic was nearly 15k off the bat I'm pretty sure meeting the w-count won't be a problem for you. Yay, I'm glad you are participating in the event, 'cause there actually have not been any J/A fanfics in any Big Bang events yet.

June is long way away so I'm glad you'll have something for us in the meantime :D
