Reality hit home today...
So everything has been going great in my life, almost too perfect. I had a great weekend until late sunday night when I found out an old friend from school had been in a car accident. All I new at the time was she was in critical condition, in a comma and transported to Detroit Receiving. I knew nothing else. Being that it was almost midnight before I found out I didn't want to call around for more details. Today I was filled in with most of the blanks. She was out with her on-off again b/f at the bar on their way home at 5:20 am on Front road at the corner of morton he crossed the median into northbound traffic. He broadsided a jeep liberty then spun and hit a saturn. They were both ejected from the truck. He and the other people in the vehicles suffered only minor injuries. My friend Chrissy has a fractured skull and internal bleeding in her brain. They said all of her organs have She is currently on life support and it was just said on the radio she is now in grave condition and getting progressively worse. They don't think she will make it and if she does her life will never be the same and they are still unaware of the extent of her brain damage. I just heard from a friend she had emergency brain surgery last night as well. I hope that everything will work out for the best. I'm off to try and study for my midterms now... so just remember to live each day as if it were your last.
