cause you're just as far in as you'll ever be out

Day 11- Put your iPod on shuffle and write ten songs that pop up.
Day 12- Bullet your whole day.
Day 13- Somewhere you'd like to move to or visit.
Day 14- Your earliest memory.

Heh. I've told this story many many times, but maybe not here. Anyway, my earliest memory is when I was about 3, and my sister was a year old. She was in her crib, and I remember going into her room, picking up all the stuffed animals I could find, and throwing them in the crib on top of her. :p Naturally, Kira started crying and our mom came in to get her, and that's all I really remember. Most of the old home videos and photos I've seen from when we were that little suggest that I generally loved having a little sister, but apparently there were times when I wasn't so thrilled with it. It's one of the very few memories (maybe even the only) of my birth mom still being around, before she and my dad got divorced. I have a bunch more memories from even a few years later, but not too many from that age.

Anyway. Currently listening to Anna Nalick, and omg, how much do I want her to release her new album already? SO BAD. The two songs that are up on her website are delicious, and I can't wait to own them. Mmmm love love love. I started reading The Book of Dave for book club, and while it was really difficult to get through the first chapter because of the language, it has definitely gotten better and I'm enjoying it now. (The people in the book have a whole English-derivative language with a glossary in the back, and in the first chapter, having to look up every other word really made it difficult to actually get into the story.) I had a strange dream that Kristian was in last night, so I'll have to call her and tell her about it. It's not really surprising that it was strange, though, because most of my dreams are strange. Should probably call Janet, too, to wish her a happy birthday, even though I haven't heard from her at all lately. So my mom's got regular access to a computer now, which is pretty great for staying in touch with her, and we've been emailing regularly. Last night it occurred to me that 'oh hey, if she has internet access, I can send her the link to my wedding pictures!' So I did, and she emailed me back this morning saying that the pictures made her cry and she was really glad I sent them to her. We may never have a super close mother-daughter relationship, but I am glad we're talking again and I can share things like this with her, even indirectly/after the fact. Oooh, there are actually 4! songs on the Anna Nalick site, not just the 2! Oh, okay, 3 are new songs, and one is an old one. But still! I want this album soooooo bad! *impatient*

Lol, okay, so that was a totally random paragraph. Kind of like today's weather. It was sunny when I woke up, then while I was eating breakfast, it poured for like two minutes, then was really sunny again, then a little bit later there were snow flurries, and now it's sunny again. Wtf? Make up your mind, weather. Mm, well I'm going to go continue enjoying the Anna songs and read a bit more before I go get a shower and head out for the Iron Cupcake competition. Have a great day, kids!
