do you feel my heart beating?

Stuff and things! Well, Friday was my last day at TCI. It was strange and good and really hasn't hit me that I don't work there anymore. I'm going to miss some of the people there, but hopefully I'll stay in touch with them. New job starts tomorrow, and I'm hoping that will go well, too. I'm still a little uncertain about what exactly I'll be doing on a day-to-day basis, but I'm sure I'll figure that out quickly.

Kelly came up to visit this weekend and that was good times. Lots of movie watching, shopping, enjoying free things courtesy of gift cards, yummy meals, and just general good times. She bought me a really cute pair of shoes from Charlotte Russe as my graduation/birthday present, but I could not find them on their website at all, so you don't get to see how awesome they are. It was a good weekend, definitely. This afternoon, I went to a welcome for incoming WM freshmen from New Jersey, which was a nice gathering. I mainly hung out with/talked to a few other alums, because we figured the incoming freshmen would want to talk to and get to know each other, although I did answer some questions about the College. I always enjoy talking to other people who appreciate William & Mary as much as I do, so that was nice.

One of my favorite things is being able to tell people that I'm moving to Toronto to be with my boyfriend. It's becoming so much more real, and I'm getting increasingly excited about it. Last week, Brad told me that he'd registered for his fall classes and that on Mondays he'll be in class from 9:30 am till 7 pm, with virtually no breaks. And my first response was along the lines of 'oh, that's a really long day. I'll have to make you lunch on those days.' Just being able to say something like that, knowing that I'll actually be there with him and be able to do little things like that for him made me so giddy and happy. I will actually be with him every day! I will be there when he comes home from class, to give him a big hug and get lots of cuddles and eat dinner together and go to sleep together, and I am so thrilled and excited, I don't even have words for it. August 8 cannot come soon enough!

Oh, and in other news, I am now a Nationally Certified School Psychologist! I haven't received the certificate in the mail yet, but you can check online to see the status of your application, and as of Wednesday, my certification is active! Weeee! I have a big fancy title now! It kind of makes me feel like a grown up, and like I've actually accomplished something, so I'm proud of myself. All I need now is a nice job to go along with this fancy title. :p (Still waiting to hear back from the district I interviewed with. I was told that they need to interview all qualified Canadian applicants before they can hire an American, so I'm just waiting and hoping. And of course, passing on news like this, so they know that I really am super qualified and awesome! lol.)

Anyway, that's about all for now. Time to go forage/decide if I have the motivation to go to the grocery store to find something for dinner.
