Okay, so I know I said I was going to try for a real update before I disappeared up north, but . . . well, it just hasn't happened. Sometimes I feel like writing and sometimes I don't, and lately it's been more of a don't. Work has continued to be all sorts of crazy and busy but I *think* I'm actually more or less caught up on most things. Which is probably good because when we get back from break, I'm going to have a ton of make up counseling sessions to do, annnnnd I'm going to have about a week to do my portfolio for the internship class. Joy. Hate the portfolio, but at least this is the last time I'm ever going to have to do it!
Boytime starts tomorrow night, and I can't even tell you how happy that makes me. I miss him so hard, and I can't wait to just be in his arms again. I am pretty much packed except for the last minute toiletries, and I think I'm ready to go. Which probably means I will spend tonight not being able to sleep because my mind will be going over all the tiny details about things I will have to do tomorrow. :-/
Oh, my dad called last weekend, for those keeping track of that whole saga. He basically said that he thinks we should talk, and we agreed that I'm going to call him when I get back from Canada. I'll probably end up seeing if he'll meet up with me in L'ville, since I will have to go down there to pick up my cap and gown after I get back anyway. So we'll see how it goes. I'll keep you posted, I'm sure.
Maybe I will be able to sleep tonight, as I'm sitting here yawning. Mmm, other random notes: the new Black Eyed Peas song is awesome and very much makes me want to dance. I'm rereading The Time Traveler's Wife and loving it every bit as much as I did the first time. Actually, it probably has a lot more parallels to my current relationship than it ever did to the one I was in when I read it the first time. But it's nice when you go back to a book you really enjoyed and find that it's just as good as, if not better than, you remembered, rather than finding that it's not that great the second time around. Let's see, what else? Found a really cute dress on the sale rack at Target this weekend (which means I'm sure it won't be on their website - or check it out! It actually is on their website!) that I got for $17 something. Also recently ordered a cute dress from Victoria's Secret (and let me tell you, their website is a pain in the ASS to order from), but that one hasn't arrived yet, so I won't tell you which one till I know if it actually looks good.
