hahaha. sorry, christine's probably the only one who knows why my subject line is funny. I GOT SOUL BUT I'M NOT A SOLDIER! tehe.
ANYway. this has seriously been the absolute best birthday i have ever had. i mean, i'm sure i had some good birthdays as a kid, but this is the best in recent memory. i didn't sleep too well friday night due to the amount of alcohol i'd consumed, so i basically napped/dozed off and on all night morning, waking up when my parents (separately) called me. eventually i got up, had breakfast, got a shower, etc. then i spent some time enjoying the porch swing on jessica's porch while reading invisible monsters. it's a very bizarre book; i'm about half done it. after that i ran into meg and owen and more people quickly joined us and it turned into a sno-to-go outing. kyle paid for mine as a birthday present, even though jessica had already given me $5 for that purpose, so jessica just told me to keep the $5 as her present. lol. then i went to wal-mart with jessica and owen and bought some yarn to make my mom a scarf with. yarn is SO much cheaper at wal-mart, man! then when we got back kyle was grilling some burgers, so we went and used meals at the uc to steal things like buns, french fries, cheese and desserts. hehehe. we all sat around eating burgers (yum!) and talking for a bit, before sara and i scampered off to busch gardens. we went to grogan's pub in ireland, where i bought myself my first legal drink - a bacardi silver watermelon (sooooo tasty!). we were going to ride apollo's chariot, but the line was horrendously long, so we skipped that and rode the catapult (aka the spinny yellow thing in germany) instead. we saw "this is oktoberfest" in das festhaus, and then came back, after i went to wawa and bought lots of gross alcohol for kyle. :p my first alcohol run to wawa and i didn't even buy anything good. lol.
man, i have SO much alcohol in my possession right now. i've got half of a 24 oz bottle of mike's, three mini bottles, one each of malibu, parrot bay, and kahlua, and a bottle of bacardi gold? maaaaybe? something that is supposed to be mixed into the pina colada and peach daiquiri mixes i also have. the last three things were gifts from miranda, and the mini bottles were gifts from jamie. actually the mike's was purchased by sara, so none of the alcohol i currently have did i have to buy myself. hehe, awesome.
anyway, so after busch and the wawa run, we came back to the lodges for the most awesome birthday party ever. most of cso staff was there, and maureen, sara, jenn sykes, and rachel also came. it was luau-themed, so everyone had leis and there were daiquiris and fruit and all kinds of fun stuff. maureen gave me a bottle of cranberry mike's (yum!), which ended up being the only other thing i drank all night, aside from a few sips of a daiquiri which was too strong for my tastes (i really don't like rum if i can taste it) and a taste of pineapple rum to see what that was like. she also made me another mix cd (which i'm currently listening to) with a sweet note inside. after much talking, goofing around, dancing and singing loudly, rachel and i convinced maureen to go streak the sunken gardens. sara came with us, although she didn't streak, but she did take a picture of us running . . . yeahhh so now there's a picture of our pale white asses that no one ever needs to see, haha. it's so exhilarating, and having already done it once, it wasn't a big deal for me to do it again, lol. anyway, we barely got back to the other end and dressed again before miranda and her friends showed up. hahaha. hi, nice to meet you, if you'd gotten here about five seconds earlier you would've seen me naked. lol.
anyway, we headed back to the lodges again after that, and maureen left with her andrew. by the way, they are absolutely adorable together and they make me happy. speaking of adorable, sara gets to see her matt tomorrow and she's all giddyexcited about it, which also makes me happy. now if we can just find someone for me to be giddyexcited about and adorable with, that would be great. :p i don't even know how serious i am about that remark, so don't take it too literally. not that there are any prospects at this point, anyway, but jumping into a relationship right now would probably not be wise. although i did find out last night that someone thinks i'm cute, which is always flattering. hehe. the party sloooowly died down after that and everyone eventually went to their respective beds . . . although apparently christine and rachel decided to go streak AGAIN haha. so i went to bed around 2something am, woke up once to pee, and slept until 11. glorious. :D today will be a very chill day - i'll probably do some laundry, maybe start packing, read/crochet/knit, etc. when sara gets off work we're going to go to my first legal mug night (though really, it's my first mug night, period, because i never tried to go when i wasn't legal), but i'm probably only going to have one mug. i just feel it's critical for me to go and get myself a mug, because otherwise i would not be a true william & mary student. hahaha.
but seriously, everyone has done so much to make this a good birthday for me, and i can't thank everyone enough. i love all of my friends because they are so much of the awesome. so a shout out to the specific awesome people who will read this and who have made my birthday amazing - maureen, sara, christine, rachel - you guys rock my world. :D oh, and sarah, who called me from germany to wish me a happy birthday! there's nothing like international phone calls to make a day awesome. anyway, i think that's all for now, so you all have a wonderful day! lovelovelove!
