Other Updates From My Life

- I've started cross stitching again. I'm working on two projects at the moment, with a third planned. They're all gifts for other people.

The first is a baby name thing for Nick's nephew. (I'm not sure if I've mentioned him in this journal? Has it been THAT long since I've updated properly? Anyways, Nick's brother and his wife had a baby in March. His name is Noah.) It's Noah's christening next month, so this will be a gift for that.

I've started a piece I've wanted to stitch for years now. It's called "Bluey's Boots." Photo

I have plans for a quote piece for the parents for Christmas.

- Carpathian died a few months ago, which is kinda sad. He lived a decant life for a fighter fish though. I kinda miss him sometimes. We are going to get another fighter fish at some point, but he haven't gotten around to it yet.

- I've been making Christmas gifts. yeah, I know it's super early, but I had this idea for easy things I could make that would also be really cheap for all the random relatives and people I feel the need to buy Christmas gifts for. It's going to save me a lot of money this year, which I'm pleased about because I'm trying to save money for Canada, among other things.

- I've managed to get all of Cards Against Humanity, plus four of the expansions. I've been having great fun coming up with ideas for the blank cards they've included.

- I am still planning on continuing my 90's nostalgia posts, but I was going to post about a whole bunch of Robin Williams movies and, well... I've been really broken up about his death. I cried for days. I will still get around to it, but it's taking me a while to feel up to watching them again. For those interested, the movies would have been Aladdin, Jumanji, and Fern Gully.

- I'm so glad that the weather is getting warm again. It's been a really long, cold (for Adelaide) winter.

- I'm hoping that we're going to get our own internet soon. I'm getting really tired of the slow borrowed internet.

I am going to try to update here more often for the rest of the year.
