I think my tetras are doomed. Nothing I try is making them get better. If anything, some of them are worse and probably close to death. I'm ready to give up. I've been trying to fight
fin rot and possibly some kind of fungal or bacterial infection for the past few weeks, but nothing is working. I think they might have neon tetra disease now, (which is contagious and always fatal,) but they're not dead yet and apparently it's a fast killer. One of them, I think, is on his way out. He has a large hole under his head and can't breathe very well. He's been separated from the others. (I could've caught him with my bare hands...)
I'm getting depressed and frustrated dealing with them. I wish they would either get better, or die quickly. I don't like being caught in this kind of fish sickness limbo.
If (and when) the tetras die, I'm going to give that tank another good scrub and try again with a small school of male guppies.
At least Doctor Who was exciting... that and apple pie for breakfast was the best thing about this Father's Day for me.
