Have I updated since I posted Ella's birth story? I don't think so. So much has happened over the past year. Adjusting to two kids has been crazy, and we moved from Maryland to Pennsylvania. So here it goes...

I've seen suggestions of that in different places. Dad goes in and comforts baby to sleep, eventually baby realizes they aren't getting milk and so they begin to sleep through the night. Problem with that is Chris gets really tense when Ella cries. I've always believed in staying calm and baby will be calm. Chris gets tense and stressed and hot when Ella (or Ty for that matter) cries and they just can't calm down with him. He's not exactly a natural at parenting.

Last night Ella woke once to nurse. It was a good night, I slept like a rock.

In some ways I feel like I'm disappointing someone (my family? Myself?) that I'm not teaching. I loved teaching. I didn't care for all the paperwork and time spent away from the students. I think that's why I loved teaching in Korea and supply/substitute teaching. When I was in Texas I only subbed at a couple of schools, so I was able to get to know the staff and students, but 15 minutes after the bell, I was gone. Korea, well we didn't do much prep work there, did we? I love working at the YMCA. The staff and the parents are great. I love working with the kids. And the few classes I'm responsible for, I've developed them to have a bit more structure and plan. Maybe my career path wont take me back to a traditional classroom.
