On Monday Tyler and I were out at Toys R Us. I picked up this water table for him:
since it was on sale. It is a birthday gift, along with the personalized growth chart that I'm still waiting on.
I am so excited, I can't believe it is only 10 days away. My little baby is going to be one! I don't know if I should be happy or sad... probably both!
So while we were there I realized I haven't ever really looked around a Toys R Us. I was a bit old for them when they finally made it to Canada. Usually when I go to Toys R Us these days I go to the baby area. Ty and I had some time and I've been on the look-out for loot bag goodies plus I wanted to check out their Crayola section. Then I saw this in the Barbie section:
This is the Barbie I had when I was a little girl. I think it was this one and Dream Glow Barbie. Plus I had a Ken doll, I'm pretty sure it was a Dream Glow Ken, he had combable hair.
So after my little trip down memory lane Ty and I made it home and played out in the yard for a bit. He still isn't keen on touching the grass but was ok sitting in it in his long pants:
Audrey loved laying in the sun
It was nice to sit outside.
On Tuesday Tyler was doing all sorts of new things. We went to the University of MD to participate in a language study. Back at home Tyler was kicking/nudging a box in front of him like a soccer ball (he did it yesterday, too), he spontaneously hugged Audrey, and he decided to climb into one of his toy bins.
It was so cute because he also was trying to bring things into the box with him, like his sippy cup. He is an entertaining little one!
Speaking of being entertained, I am dropping Ty off at day care for a few hours today and taking myself to a movie. If I can leave him there an extra 10 minutes I can go see Babies. It starts a bit late, so even though it is really short (80 minutes) I might not be able to see it and be back to pick Ty up at 2pm. If there is another baby who is coming in right at 2 I'll go see Iron Man 2 instead and save Babies for when my parents are here next week.
OH! Before I forget, My Mother's Day card/gift arrived from Tyler yesterday. With the help of Daddy Tyler got me a trip to the spa for a facial/mani/pedi. Just what I need!
