Hi! I'm new to this community. I've skimmed through and seen a lot of situations where people are moving because their significant other already is Canadian or for school and so forth. Here's my question/story.
I adore BC and have wanted to live there since I visited the area 5 years ago. I have no family there, no friends, no schooling opportunities that I'm interested in, at least at this point. I do, however, have a job here in Kansas (ugh) that I believe would be a great fit for the Academy of Learning institution.
Should I get directly in contact with them first? Send them a cover letter and resume and so forth? Or do I need to start with getting in touch with the government there or here?
Also, my boyfriend works for Midas Auto Repair here in town but they have locations in Vancouver. Should he try to make the first contact because he would be transferring? Or does it really matter?
Thanks for any advice!
