The origination of dialects
Decent article on the questioning of dialects. Although common knowledge to many linguists, it's still nice to have different perspectives on this issue of "where" dialects originate. I think it's more of an interest to ask this same question in Eastern Europe, primarily in Romania (my current proposal is for a project to attempt to discover some answers to this question). At any rate, I thought I'd save this article for a possible future use.
