He ran away from one of the best things he ever had in his life. John didn't know how to deal with his sexuality and he tore out of his life like a bat out of hell, crushing the one thing that could've been the best thing that ever happened to him.
John stood, watching him with his partner, knowing that should've been him. The pain in his chest was heavy, adding to the other weights there.
