Okay, my INs were, from memory, Katara (vote of confidence -- I think you're on the right track even if you're not quite there yet), Bloo and Mac (though I had to force myself to ignore your grammar mistakes). You guys had a strong voice, you gave me a good idea of what your character would be like to play with in camp and your ideas were original and amusing -- I especially liked the way Mac's thing for sugar was incorporated into the app.

Outs were mainly because the app felt pretty flat to me. Kagura -- man, I hate being the only one to vote you out, but the voice sounded more like Elmira than the Kagura I remember from Fruit's Basket. I'm glad it looks like you're getting in at this stage though!

Abstain on Yongha -- your app was funny, but the rapist-face and the slant of the humour in your app made me uneasy. It seemed overly fanon whereas apps are meant to show us how well you can stay IC. It also seemed very one-trick.

That's right. Sorry, but there's not a lot more you can add to 'didn't grab me' -- I know you'll have put a lot of work into your app so I apologise, but when you come down to it, humour and voice and all of that is really subjective.

On rereading, I notice that you do say Fuuko is air-headed and while that does account for the haphazard nature of the app, that was one of my biggest turn-offs. I wonder if you could find a better way to portray that while keeping your app logical and coherent? Also, I didn't notice a 'dash of sarcasm' in the app.

Fuuko's thought process isn't all that logical unless she's really in a dangerous situation; then she gets serious. So insulting the quality of the scenery, bragging about battling crocodiles, and then trying to make friends with the zombies even though they look cheap probably makes at least a bit of sense in her head.

Not trying to change your vote or anything! I just wanted to say that she's exciteable and tends to jump around from subject to subject pretty often, buuut I guess I didn't make the app flow clearly enough.

Even the most vapid of characters has an internal logic. Kon does stuff I think is incomprehensible, but if it makes sense to him, then I do it. Your words 'probably makes at least a bit of sense in her head' suggests that this are might be where you're running into difficulties.

Yeah, I think it is. I'm more logical than Fuuko and I go through a circle of "B-but what if I do this instead? Or something completely different?! Or what if I..." before saying or doing anything, sooo it's hard to app a character who does things totally on a whim without much thought.

Good luck sorting that out then -- I had problems getting into Robin's head at first when I picked him up, and I actually wrote a few fanfics from his point of view set in camp to help me get an idea of what I wanted to do with him, if I could maintain his voice. His app wasn't the most successful, but I do think the writing helped me get off to a strong start in camp, and could be beneficial to you here.

That comparison had never occurred to me, but looking at it now I see what you mean, and it's really quite surprising for me how much it works. Should I get in, I'll be sure to keep an eye on it however I can. I hope some of it was just that I happened to pick a cute animal for the focus of the app.

It was more the voice actually -- but as I see from Shigure's comments, you've satisfied at least one of your castmates in that respect and I'm sure Shigure's reviewed your canon more recently than I have, so you're in good shape! Good luck.

Oh, no, I thought you meant the voice, I'm just hoping that my mental Kagura voice isn't a strange Elmira hybrid, and that it only came out because of the subject matter. Because the idea of a Kagura/Elmira hybrid is really quite scary when I think about it.

That's quite understandable. The joke in the app was based around a canon event when Yongha's comments are mis-translated in an interview and he decides to go along with it for kicks. Though I entirely understand your concerns and your abstain.
