Hey! I wibbled on you a fair bit, actually, but ultimately, it was too all-over to get a definitive in from me. If you don't get in, work on smoothing it out, and maybe give it a narrower focus? Other than that, you don't really have to worry about the voice, you've pretty much got that down. ♥ Good luck!

I got so whapped that I am almost embarrassed to admit I'm Lina's apper. ^^; Oh well, there is always a next time. -cackle- I'll be sure to actually App a character I know a bit better. I like Lina, but I've never seen a Slayer's episode, just been a fan for five years. I really need to have money so I can buy the DVDs. ^^;

You guys probably haven't seen voting before, so here's the deal:

- There are a lot of batches for each round, because we get a hell of a lot of applications. It's time consuming to go through them all and post them. We actually compiled a voting FAQ that I'm going to link in the userinfo.

- When the last batch goes up, it is announced. That way, questions can be directed our way if an app did not go up.

- Asking us repeatedly usually doesn't help matters much, unfortunately. As I said before, it's rather time consuming and really frustrating when questions such as this come up again and again.

I haven't seen Slayers, so I can't comment on your voice, but that did make the utter lack of canon pretty disconcerting. There weren't so many things I didn't understand, it's just weird to have no canon at all. That aside, nothing about it really struck me much, so I gave it the out. Sorry, that isn't a great explanation, but I'm not sure what else to tell you.

I was pretty easy tonight. Anyone can ask for concrit but here are the outs:

Syaoran Li: Didn't get a great idea of your personality.

Lina: The previous Lina probably made me fussy, but this didn't feel like Lina to me at all.

Rei: You were very IC but not really funny, and despite my last post of ANGST, we are supposed to be funny here.

Awwww...you like..made my night and spoiled it in one fell swoop. XD Thanks for the IC comment though. I was going nuts over that especially since in order to avoid the weeding process I have to make her "say" more than she usually would. :P

I understand the objective is to be funny. I would be very grateful if I could hear something as to where I should take it next. It seems that for you I got the voice nailed. But I don't know where to start when it comes to making her funnier and yet keeping her voice. I don't have a wide range of emotions on my plate and I didn't want to rely on canon jokes...like saying the cabin smells like Ikari or something wierd like that. So if you have any advice to offer, that would be awesome. :)

Obviously, I can't and shouldn't write the app for you. But I would definitely look up some old apps and see low-key characters that did get in-- Hanajima went through the app process so many times I think she probably cried every time-- and what made them successful (and funny). I also think you should ask yourself: What makes Rei being in zombie summer camp funny? What situations would she be funniest in? Obviously you can't do everything that would be funny for your character in an app (Rei switching personalities with Genjo Sanzo would be comedy GOLD), but I'm sure you can think of specific things where her deadpan would make the situation funnier (or at least I hope you can).

I hope you get in and make it and we start a CFUD clone support group, whut next time!
