Hey! I wibbled on you a fair bit, actually, but ultimately, it was too all-over to get a definitive in from me. If you don't get in, work on smoothing it out, and maybe give it a narrower focus? Other than that, you don't really have to worry about the voice, you've pretty much got that down. ♥ Good luck!

I got so whapped that I am almost embarrassed to admit I'm Lina's apper. ^^; Oh well, there is always a next time. -cackle- I'll be sure to actually App a character I know a bit better. I like Lina, but I've never seen a Slayer's episode, just been a fan for five years. I really need to have money so I can buy the DVDs. ^^;

Anyhoo! Sorry for the rant. Please do tell me why you voted me out, if it's not too much trouble, so I'll know later? ^^ Thanks!

Heh, Lina's an extremely popular character, and it's natural that everyone's going to be a bit picky about her... on that note, yes, I voted it out because while it was written well enough, it just didn't seem like Lina to me. And yes, I'd advise you next time around to pick a character you know very well, especially one from such a well-known fandom. ^_^

Don't take this the wrong way, I appreciate your criticism. But I've been in the fandom for FIVE YEARS. I love Slayers. I haven't managed to get the series yet, but I know more than most of the 'hardcore Slayer fans'.

So I did not App Lina as a 'I'm sure I'll get in with this one!'

And I'm well aware that Giga Slave is not her only spell. She has fireballs, burst rondos, firearrows and ice arrows. She has a friggin' menagerie. I just wrote what came to mind.

I'm sorry you didn't like my Lina. I'll try apping someone else, perhaps. But do NOT say she's not a character I know.

Frankly, my dear, fandom can give a very warped perspective of characters, and if you wrote this app as how you view Lina, then you do not know the character.

Don't ever app a character for whom you only have fandom knowledge, and haven't seen the canon. Just don't.

I understand what you're saying, but truthfully? You should watch the series. Or read the novels. From your app, it is obvious that you have done neither. The novels are out in English now, and are inexpensive (I believe $10 a pop?). Fanfiction and webpages are no substitute for watching/reading the actual series and making your own observations.

You may very well love Lina. But your app was *not* Lina Inverse as written by Hajime Kanzaka. I'm also not saying that you only apped her because you thought she'd be a shoe-in - I'm only warning you about reasons that people drop characters because I HATE SEEING PEOPLE DROP THEIR CHARACTERS.

And what year is it again? *counts on hands* Ah hah. I might actually know you from somewhere, but I highly doubt it. What do you ship, if you don't mind me asking?
