Uh, lesseeeee. I'm really bad at this sort of thing (hee and have a cold |D ) but... Your app feels more like an amoeba, connected by kind of more spread out. And #2's feels a little more directed and cohesive.

But yeah, your app was good, but since there's two apps :x I know I'm not being helpful AT ALL D:
