[Today! There appears to be someone who's not suited for construction at all working on the roof of the Hawke and co. cabin. And occasionally snarking at a woman below]

Hawke, not to belittle your generous offer of a place to stay, but are you sure it wasn't just so you could get me in one place long enough for a bit of hard labor?

Oh how terrible of me, assuming that you'd ever have mercenarial thoughts.

I can assure you that my thoughts are always pure and true.

As a muddied lake perhaps, I've seen that sort of smile on a few people, and it's never good.

I don't know. Would that wound my esteemed scholar friend's ego?

He can try if he wants, but I'd already have this done.

Well, if he isn't against it, then I'd be happy to accept your offer.

[Hey, who else is going to do it? Fenris? Psssh.]

She'd become accustomed to having a live-in manservant, I suppose.

That's not true. I've never had Bodhan or Sandal fix my roof. Only the chandelier. Once.

You're fortunate it didn't end up enchanted.

Or unfortunate. An enchanted chandelier that can shoot magic at unwanted intruders sounds like it can be an interesting addition to the estate.

Yes, well, put your back into it and all that.

He should be careful, though. I wouldn't want him to throw out his back.

Mm, true, wouldn't be any good for your new toy to go breaking on you so soon.

I wouldn't say "toy", just... a "helpful friend"!
