Well, first, the easy one: When is a fair not a fair?

[blinks]

. . . When there aren't any customers?

Interesting answer. Why would you say that?

[raises an eyebrow slightly]

Because if no one comes, there is no reason for there to be one. There is no profit to be made. Unless someone is keeping things in shape, the booths and machines will fall into disrepair and the people who work there will have no purpose. But why keep things in shape if there are no guests?

Good answer. Have you seen the fair in the cornfield? With the ferris wheel and the zombie running it?

I've walked through it before.

Do you think it's less of a fair because it's empty?

I think it's slightly disturbing because it's empty. And . . . I think it's hard to really believe that it is one for that same reason.

Customers imply consumers, but if it wasn't creepy here in camp, it'd still be free-right?

I would assume so. Most everything else here is.

Then that's probably the wrong answer. I don't think capitalism is what we're looking for.

What are your other questions?

Were you able to visit an alternate world, when you had the chance, and if not-did you notice anything when people came back? I already asked this to camp by large, but I think it's especially relevant now.

I didn't go anywhere, but a friend of mine went home to an alternate version of our world and the other him came here. I was in my room at the time, which is where he ended up when he came back and all I noticed was the earthquake.

All right, that fits what I know. Did you see the haunted house when it showed up? There was a woman running it-attractive, kinda looks like the woman from Inception ...
