[today in the mess hall: one corner is set up for a blood drive, complete with a movie being projected onto the ceiling and an array of tasty snacks laid out for donors. The movie? The Last Man on Earth, from 1964.]
I'd like to ask everyone who can to donate blood today. I know that a lot of people don't really worry about injuries these days, but there's also a lot of people who either need blood to live, or have unique genetics that might make hospital care difficult.
You'll have to make sure you're well-hydrated before and after donating, of course, and eat plenty. I know it's a pain, but this is really important, or I won't be able to help you if you're injured. And in a camp full of zombies out to eat your brains, if you can't get any help...well, you might as well be Vincent Price as the Last Man on Earth.
