[In the middle of camp, there is a pole. Not just any pole, mind you. It's taller than a flag pole, and it has a horizontal bar at the top. That's important, because hanging upside-down by a rope tied to his feet at the end of this bar is a man in a straitjacket. And if you watch him for a few minutes, you'll see him get his arms over his head.

I'd like to avoid any Looney Tunes craters in the ground if at all possible.

I don't think I'd hit the ground that hard.

Is there a way to swing yourself upright and slide down the pole? It's a bit of a go, but it might work.

I'll try anything that doesn't involve freefalling.

[grabs the straitjacket in both hands and swings up, aiming to hook the jacket over the pole on the upswing]

Yeah. Yeah, I'm getting that, which is why I'm slightly concerned about my situation.

Perhaps asking if someone would help would have been a better question, then?

Someone said I could be caught, but I'm not keen on letting go of this thing just yet.

Well mission accomplished, because I haven't exactly taken classes on how to not fall from great heights.

Firemen's poles are metal. I'm going to end up with splinters in my ass going down this thing!

[but he is swinging up to the pole all the same]

Then wrap that jacket around your hands and climb down!

You know, I'm starting to think this must look easy from the ground.

[untying his feet while wrapped around the bar]
