Or maybe you noticed her commandeering a hospital room and setting up vital equipment--like shelves of wilderness survival books, a radio, and a coffee maker that stepped right out of the seventies. Maybe you've come to find out who this person is ( Read more... )

Oh...look, it's not like it's weird or anything for a woman to enjoy a movie because of a bat! Bats are a very important part of our ecosystems.

No, I mean -- how did you get access to this system?

Oh, that! This is just a standard broadcast. Nothing too out of the ordinary.

I assume the real murderer was apprehended by the end of the movie? I can't say I've seen that one, but it sounds interesting!

It's great! Vincent Price does a stellar perform at the star of the movie. You should see it for him, if nothing else.

Ah ha ha, I'll have to look out for it, next time I'm near a DVD store.

Huh? Funny, that radio hasn't worked since I first wound up in this joint.

And "saving your game"...? I don't know what that means, but I somehow feel like it oughtta be my job.

Well, this isn't an official mission or anything, so I'm not recording anyone's mission data. Don't a lot of you have radios?

Sorry, doll, you lost me there. What's this about a mission?

I'm just saying, that's what saving is usually for--missions. Maybe it's just a little semantic detail, but doesn't feel right to say I'll record your mission data if you aren't on one, right?

You really do have a movie for every situation.

I'm always glad when I can apply it to helping you out, Snake. And that's part of the power of movies, too! Storytelling was originally used to teach lessons about how to live; all of our stories today have stemmed from that tradition. These days, stories are told more for entertainment, but movie-makers are always trying to make the stories they show us more realistic and believable. So we connect with them better, and we absorb the knowledge of what we're exposed to.

By the way, since we're both in the area this time around, maybe I could take you to go see The Bat.

You shouldn't have any problem connecting with this place. It looks like the set of one of your movies all on it's own. Only those zombies aren't any guys in make up.

And that might have to be enough. No movie theatres around here.

I was wondering about that...but the feeling is pretty intense! I really feel like a monster could just grab me at any moment.

Don't be silly, Snake. There are home movie systems now--we don't need a real theater!
