Er... I don't imagine anyone's been looking for me, but I'm still sorry I've been such a recluse. I've been kind of absorbed in studying the nature of love. You know, one of those things that kind of starts as a thought experiment and just keeps going...? Anyway, now I've got all the equipment set up, and I've managed to split the love atom right ( Read more... )

Love is a fleeting thing, that you managed to capture it is indeed a testiment to your skill. The heart is fragile, like a rose tossed by the wayside and left to wilt. Perhaps your machine can be used to power the love of all those here, that they might break through the boundaries and fulfill their heart's desire.

It's an idea. I mean, it certainly has barrier-breaking applications, and there's a lot of meta-applications for being able to derive the chemical nature of emotion... it's just that I'm not sure what to do with all these heartquarks now. I mean, what good is love if it's only speculatable based on a quantum superposition, anyway?

The heartstrings sing of life, of the liberty of all humankind, the freedom to give and recieve freely of those things that we all enjoy. Love is perhaps the greatest and yet most worthless thing of all, for there are many that would throw their lives away for but one kiss.

Oh, I understand that the theoretical value of love pretty much converges on infinity, at least for some people, but I was hoping to find... I dunno. Something more objective? Or maybe just something more publishable.

-- Oh! Hi.

This, uh, this isn't what it looks like. ... Actually, it almost certainly is, but...

Experimenting on love! I swear, it made perfect sense when I started. Perfect sense!

Love fission ain't nothin'! Let's see some love fusion! Snap snap!

... well, I did isolate some intriguing isotopes. I suppose I could give it a try?

Do it... for SCIENCE! But don't do it for blowing up camp. Blowing up camp is a bad thing, from an ACROSS perspective.

Er, if you could really blow up camp with the power of love, I doubt I'd be the one to have done it, you know?

... anyway, yes, there it is, some tritiated amorase. This should do nicely... er, step back from the apparatus, if you don't mind? There might be fumes.

Hey, I'm glad someone likes it! It was just a thought-experiment gone way too far, but hey, maybe it'll do some good in the world after all...

Of course it'll do good! After all, what the world needs now is love, sweet love~ ...What's a heartquark?

It appears to be the fundamental particle of love! It's only a theory, and I'm not sure what exactly you do with them, but it never hurts to know things!
