Hey there guys, Multipurpose Ahiru post, coming at you!

Okay, fist off, briefly: a little explanation on Ahiru for those of you who didn’t vote on her:

Ahiru is a duck who turns into a girl. A few things are needed for her to achieve this change. She must be wearing her pendant (it’s a red stone, CUNNINGLY disguised to look like a part of her uniform when she’s a girl and a… not-so-cunning necklace on the duck. Yes, the duck wears a necklace.) Also:

Duck > Girl : requires water. A drop on the head or a jump in the lake, it doesn’t matter. This transformation is immediate.

Girl > Duck : requires Ahiru to ‘act like a duck’- in other words, to quack. This happens more often than you might think, because her natural reaction when shocked or surprised is to let out a mighty QUA--! This transformation is sliiiightly delayed- usually just long enough for her to comically jump into the bushes or run away at impossible speeds.

Ahiru, duck or girl, can also turn into Princess Tutu, a magical girl heroine. This transformation requires her pendant and nothing else other than perhaps a good Boss Battoru. She usually changes back into a girl when the crisis has been averted, but all this presumably at will. Somebody’s will anyway.

However if she quacks (or is knocked out?) she’ll still become a duck.

Mechanics covered, here are a few things I would rather players did not do to Ahiru without my permission. I’m not going to lj-cut this part, as it’s kind of important. Please ask before:

-throwing water on the duck/setting her on it. Coming PERILOUSLY CLOSE is fine, but I’d always like an out.
-taking the duck’s necklace off. This will strand her as a duck.
-for that matter, ripping the necklace off Ahiru or Tutu would be a no too.

On a related note, I should maybe point out that unless I specifically state otherwise, neither the duck (who can’t) nor Tutu (who won’t) will ever use a computer in camp. If you’re interacting with them, assume it’s face-to-face. They won’t ‘log onto’ Ahiru’s account, and you shouldn’t identify them as ‘pas_de_duck’

Shakier issues:

-no one in Ahiru’s canon ever notices the similarities between her character design, Tutu’s and the duck's. However, they don’t live in a world where such transformations are regular. If you feel your character would clue into this, then feel free to comment on it

-Ahiru is a naturally spazzy character. If you poke at her, she will quack at you. I have no problems with this! Most likely she will run away but not get far, so feel free to poke around and find the innocent duck~

-Ahiru isn’t going to ADMIT she’s the duck. Not easily anyway. But she’s not very good at covering either. If you think your character’s the type to actually listen to her when she freaks and babbles, and pick up that she’s covering for something, possibly waterfowl related… again, go for it.

Thank you. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. And here I’ll lj cut again for a little potential camp-weekend plotting.

As I said in my app, Tutu’s main goal in canon is to gather together all the pieces of her Prince’s shattered heart. Each piece is a specific emotion. These heart shards tend to latch onto a person who was already feeling that emotion to some degree and blow it out of proportion until it consumes them. So an artist who used to enjoy drawing one model more than others will suddenly become INCAPABLE of drawing anything else when the feeling of Love hides in their heart. It is love in it’s harshest form- obsession.

I would love to play with Tutu finding some shards in camp, and I can think of two potential ways to do so.

1) someone’s heart could shatter in camp, for no particular reason beyond… camp. We’d need a person willing to play emotionless for a weeked/week/some amount of time yet to be determined. There could be a set number of emotion shards, and people could claim them in advance. CRAZY EMOTIONS COMPLETELY ENCOURAGED. Tutu would collect them all and restore the camper in question to a full heart.

2) Random pieces of the canon shattered heart could show up in camp. Again, I’m not above stretching canon a little so that there are enough shards to go around, as long as there are no repeats. The advantage of this is that there wouldn’t be a ‘heartless’ camper running around, so there’d be no need for a set timeframe. If you EVER wanted your camper to get possessed by a heart shard, all you would have to do is contact me and set up a post. Tutu could then keep these shards in a safe location, to be given to her prince when she leaves camp.

The disadvantage of this is that it isn’t as much of a group activity, and I don’t want things to get too repetitive for the campers not involved.

EDIT: okay, so we'll be going with option #1, and our two heartless victims will be Ayame and Lee, for great crack. Feel free to keep them in mind when coming up with emotions, because SOMEBODY needs to get the need to crossdress or light up with sparkles like a fourth of July parade!

SON OF EDIT Ayame and Lee would really like it if someone were to feel: compassion, regret, devotion, crossdressing, speech making, sewing, sparkling, ROMANCE, BAD FASHION SENSE, and possibly flinging giant air-hearts at Sakura. oh and be inexplicably attracted to the camp doctors. ALL OUT, FEEL FREE TO PICK YOUR OWN. (anger and insecurity also taken)

Thoughts on this, please?
