Hello, friends! This is a mod post with several points!
1) The activity check. We were very lenient this round and let a number of people who didn't comment slide. If we knew you'd been playing or you'd spoken with us and have been working on things, we let it slide. If we thought we'd seen you around but weren't entirely certain, that got a warning. If you have been absent entirely and didn't comment, we did idle you! But guys, please remember to comment to the checks. They are every other month - the even months! Livejournal is not always reliable with notifications, but we will do our best to get the check posted by the 1st of those months. If there are extenuating circumstances, please contact us. We are absolutely willing to work with people regarding activity as long as they want to play.
On that note, we need to highlight a rule we've had for years - you cannot defer playing a character you just apped to a later date. You must begin playing your character once they get in! If you have not played a character by the next application date, you risk being idled. If you know you won't be around in the weeks after an app round, please wait until a date when you can app. If for some reason, you app and then life blows up in your face unexpectedly, let us know about that.
2) Voting.
. . . yeah, okay, everyone knows what we're going to say here. Please vote when you can, you don't have to be canon familiar, etc! We have over 160 players - we should not be struggling for 50 votes over the course of a day, even when taking hiatuses, timezones, people sleeping, etc into account. If you see an app batch up, vote on it! Submit a blank vote if you plan on abstaining! Help your fellow players out!
3) . . . Check the cabin list and if anyone is really attached to any empty buildings in there, speak now or forever hold your peace. Not that . . . anything would happen . . . or anything . . . alternatively, if you would like to, uh, lose your cabin/living space or are a lone ranger in a cabin/place and would like to magically move to another one, let us know (after talking with all your cabinmates, okay)!
