Why, you ask?
Bucky the Supergenius
12 year old Bucky is a bona fide genius. Emancipated by his parents, he lives in an academic think tank, and despite all other geniuses living there, no one seems to be able to keep an eye on the slippery kid. (From World's Finest)
Ro and Zeta meet Bucky when their search for Zee's creator leads them to the think tank where Bucky lives. Bucky, always brilliant, has created a remote control that can operate anything he can get the schematics for. Once he discovers who Zeta is, he hacks into the NSA mainframe and downloads his controls, to use Zee for his own means. Hilarity ensues. The controller with Zeta's schematics is ultimately destroyed, and although Bucky could make another one, he promises not to. He goes on to create countless other wild inventions!
Bucky the Average Kid
Bucky is really just your average kid, underneath the supergenius. He loves surfing the web, playing video games, and getting new toys. He's constantly getting into trouble, and is mischievous and playful, always challenging authority and getting into messes bigger than he can handle.
Bucky the Friend
Getting into messes he can't handle is where Ro and Zeta come in. After his first appearance, Bucky goes from an antagonist to a friend, who calls them for help and vice versa. Underneath his snarky, sneaky behavior, Bucky is just a kid who wants to be loved, and it shows in his interactions with our favorite duo, who become more or less a brother and sister to him. He risks his own skin several times to get Zeta out of jams, at one point getting captured by the NSA, which results in him going into hiding at the end of the series. Still, he contacts them from time to time to check in. Bucky is a little brother and a valuable resource, as well as a pain in the ass -- but what 13 year old isn't? So app him and make Ro and Zeta's lives pain.
