Hi, Opal here! Those of you who are newer or are Sokka have bad memories probably know me as either Cyborg 17 or Suki, but I figured that this post should be done on my audiencing name just out of principle.
Lately, audience participation has been dying down, especially when compared to what we were like earlier on in CFUD's lifespan. After speaking with several audience and a few of the other campers, one of the reasons I keep hearing is that new audiencelings are unsure of the what the rules and guidelines are (or they're too shy.) However, CFUD misses its audience! If Rorschach's audience call-out post the other day didn't prove it, our lamenting in the IRC chatroom certainly has. So, I send out a call to arms: come to us! We love you and your heckling, and to prove it (and also to make sure you all have no excuse >D), I've written up Ye Huge Audiencing Guide.
Just a note: while I say guide, it's mostly observations on what I've seen audiencedom consist of, what makes people uncomfortable, what I've seen the mods go :| at... things like that. There is No One Way to audience, so take everything in it with a grain of salt. If there's anything that you think should be added/taken out/changed/what have you, you can leave a comment here or at the guide, and I'm pretty much always parked in IRC |D
