HEY DUDES. There are camper and counselor rounds coming up, and there are a ton of appable Dragonball characters that you can potentially pick from! Come and find out why YOU want to app DB/Z. Many of the characters shown below would be appable as a camper OR a counselor! How convenient is that? VERY CONVENIENT, IF I MAY SAY SO.
Here are some very brief descriptions of some of the more prominent main and side protagonists! If I tried writing up summaries of any of the major villains, my brain might just implode. This does not mean we do not want you to app them, however! IF YOU FEEL IT, GO FOR IT.
GOKU
As a child, he is incredibly stupid, naive, and yet stronger and hungrier than almost every adult man on Earth. As an adult... not much changes, with the exception that he no longer has his prehensile monkey tail. Yes.
BULMA
Bulma is a mechanical genius, flirtatious, and a beauty to boot. Her intended first wish with the dragon balls is to get herself the perfect boyfriend! Instead, she finds Yamcha. Luckily she does eventually raise her standards, hurhurhur. She's pretty strong-willed and helps Goku out on more than one occasion with the devices she invents.
YAMCHA
Speaking of low standards, Yamcha meets the team when he has a reputation of a tough and fearsome bandit! ...when he's not anywhere near pretty girls, anyway. He wants to make a wish on the dragon balls so that he can finally talk to girls without passing out from fear. His incredible mullet of justice will never cease to amaze.
OOLONG AND PUAR
Oolong (pig) and Puar (cat) are special little nuggets! They went to shapeshifting school together and can change their form into anything that may possibly be needed, from a giant pair of scissors to an umbrella and many more things. The only difference talent-wise between the two is that Oolong has a 5-minute limit on transformations due to dropping out of school. Also Oolong is kind of a pervert.
KRILLIN
When Krillin first meets Goku, he is a rather large asshole and kind of a cheat. He doesn't like the runty kid with the tail much at all, but after lasting through Roshi's training together, they become the best of friends! Which is rather unfortunate on Krillin's side, because he ends up being the target of what I like to call the "Hero's BFF Syndrome" on more than one occasion. Otherwise he grows into a pretty cool (though short) dude!
TIENSHINHAN
Tien also starts out as kind of a dick when he first encounters Goku and friends. He is a pupil of the Crane Master, the ~eternal rival~ of Master Roshi. He also has a third eye in his forehead! Fun times! He of course sees the light of awesomeness emitting from Goku through the events of the World Tournament and the fight with Piccolo Daimou and agrees to start training with Roshi.
CHAOZU
Chaozu is the awesome mini-BFF of Tien. He and Krillin start out with a rather large rivalry between them, and through their own various techniques are pretty evenly matched in their fight... until Krillin realizes that Chaozu blows ass at math and distracts the poor little dude by shouting math equations for him to solve and then going in for the hits. Much like his taller companion, he starts out as a dickish rival of the students of Roshi but then agrees to train under the turtle hermit after Shit Goes Down at the World Tournament.
MASTER ROSHI
Master Roshi is the awesome, incredibly old and perverted dude that trains Goku and Krillin to fight in their first World Martial Arts Tournament! Seriously, he's so old and lecherous that he won't train either of the boys until they find a cute girl for him to ogle around the house. Sad and lonely though he may be, his training methods are still quite effective, as the only person able to beat either of the boys in their first World Tournament is actually Roshi himself in disguise.
PICCOLO
Piccolo is the angry egg-offspring of the aforementioned Piccolo Daimou, spat out just before the Daimou's death at the hands (or rather head) of young Goku. He returns to challenge Goku at the World Tournament a few years after his "father's" death and is only just barely beaten, swearing to come back and exact revenge on the people of Earth for his untimely defeat! Of course, this never really happens, as he becomes a classic Unlikely Ally of the hero at the beginning of the Z timeline, which then morphs into a strange sort of second-mother-figure of Gohan and thus a friendship of sorts to the rest of the gang.
CHICHI
Chichi is pretty much the greatest tiny girl ever. Daughter of the Ox King, she's able to defend herself with her LASER HELMET and removable helmetblade. She falls madly in love with little old Goku, who is (as always) unfortunately as dumb as a rock and thinks marriage is a kind of food. She does succeed in her plight to wed the lug, though, and is the best bossy wife you could possibly ever ask for.
GOTEN AND TRUNKS
IT'S IMPOSSIBLE NOT TO WRITE ABOUT THESE TWO TOGETHER, AS YOU CAN SEE FROM THIS PICTURE. Goten is the second son of Chichi and Goku! Unfortunately for pretty much the entire world, he takes after Goku a lot more than he does Chichi. He's... pretty stupid. His mother has come to accept this, quite likely, and even trains him to fight, which is a huge turnaround from her stance on fighting with Gohan. He is also pretty much attached at the hip to Trunks. Trunks is Vegeta and Bulma's son, quite easily the brains of the BFF superkid duo. He is stronger than Goten due to the age difference between them (one year!), but time will likely not close the gap in the boys' level of intelligence--Trunks will always have the upper hand, partially thanks to his genius mother. Despite having the prince of all Saiyans as a father, he knows how to have fun, and does so even in the face of constant danger as long as he's with Goten.
VIDEL
Videl is Gohan's incredible stalker-turned-future-wife. The daughter of Hercule Satan, she immediately suspects him of being a Suspicious Character when he shows up at Orange Star High School and eventually finds out that he is indeed the Great Saiyaman that has been running around town, taking away her thunder as the police's little helper! She uses this information to blackmail him into fighting in the upcoming World Tournament and also into teaching her how to fly. All around, a classy girl.
ANDROID/CYBORG 18
18 is 17's twin sister, a modified human with cybernetic parts thanks to the Red Ribbon Army's Dr. Gero. Girls just want to have fun, right? Well, depending on the timeline, her version of fun is varying levels of death and destruction. However, in the main timeline, she somehow is wooed into domesticity by Krillin after the events of the Cell Games. She is definitely a badass woman and would kick and yell 17 into shape should he do anything she does not enjoy.
